Welcome to Baldwin Hills
Baldwin Hills is in the South Los Angeles region, just south of Jefferson Blvd, home to Kenneth Hahn State Regional Park and Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. Baldwin Hills at one point was called the "Black Beverly Hills" being that many African American Doctors, Physicians and entertainers lives in the hillside community. In recent days the community has become moderately diverse. Baldwin Hills neighboring cities are View Park-Windsor Hills, Leimert Park, West Adams and Ladera Heights and you can find some of the best homes in these quiet communities. "The Dons" are locally known as the Baldwin Hills Estate, because majority the streets start with Don, the formal title of the original land holder. Baldwin Hills is 5.6 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 8.9 miles from Santa Monica.
